Tanzania

Capital is Dodoma, not the larger Dar es Salaam, which still hosts most government and embassy functions day to day. Tanzania is home to Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest peak at 5,895 meters and one of the Seven Summits.

Green stands for the land, blue for the Indian Ocean and the country's many lakes, black for the people, and gold for mineral wealth. Adopted in 1964 when Tanganyika and Zanzibar united as Tanzania.
