Suriname

Suriname is the smallest country in South America, on the Atlantic coast between Guyana and French Guiana, and more than nine tenths of it is rainforest. A Dutch colony until 1975, it is the continent's only Dutch-speaking country, and its people trace their roots to Indigenous, African, Indian, Javanese, Chinese and European ancestors.
