The world's largest country by area, spanning eleven time zones from the Baltic Sea to the Pacific, and home to Lake Baikal, the deepest lake on Earth. Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014; the UN does not recognise the annexation, and the map shows Crimea as part of Ukraine.
