Africa's most populous country and largest economy, home to Nollywood, the world's second-largest film industry by number of films produced each year. Zuma Rock, a 725-metre monolith just north of Abuja, is nicknamed the "Gateway to Abuja" and appears on the 100-naira note.

Green for the land's natural wealth, white for peace and unity. Designed by a student, Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi, who won a national flag competition in 1959 ahead of independence the following year.
