Micronesia

The Federated States of Micronesia is a federation of four island states, Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei and Kosrae, spread across about 2,700 km of the western Pacific. Independent since 1986 in free association with the United States, it is home to the stone ruins of Nan Madol and to Yap's giant stone money.

Blue for the Pacific Ocean and the sky, and one white star for each of the four states: Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei and Kosrae. Adopted in 1978.
