Malawi is a narrow, landlocked country in southeastern Africa, stretched along the western shore of Lake Malawi. The lake covers about a fifth of the country and holds more fish species than any other lake on Earth.

Flag of Malawi
Black for the people of Africa, red for the blood of those who fought for freedom, green for the land. The rising sun marks the dawn of hope for Africa, adopted at independence in 1964.
