Libya

Libya stretches along the Mediterranean coast of North Africa, and the Sahara covers more than 90% of its land. Its coast holds the Roman ruins of Leptis Magna and Sabratha and the Greek city of Cyrene. It became independent in 1951, with Tripoli as its capital.
