Cyprus

Cyprus is the third-largest island in the Mediterranean, independent since 1960 and in the EU since 2004. Since 1974 a UN buffer zone has divided it; the north is run by a Turkish Cypriot administration recognised only by Turkey, and the map shows the whole island as Cyprus.
